MFV’s Emergency Cold Weather Shelter provides a warm, safe place for adults experiencing homelessness during periods of extreme cold. When activated, the overnight shelter welcomes men and women ages 18 and older, with space available up to the shelter’s capacity. Guests receive a warm dinner, breakfast, and a place to sleep for the night, along with care and hospitality from our team. Shelter openings are weather-dependent and communicated through MFV’s social media and church services. Because this is an adult emergency shelter, children cannot be accommodated. When the shelter is active, opportunities to donate needed supplies or help cover the cost of meals may also be announced.
