Baptisms

Following Jesus in Baptism

Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and a celebration of the new life we have received through Him. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace received through faith in Jesus, not something earned through baptism or good works (Ephesians 2:8–9). Baptism is the believer’s next step of obedience, following the example and command of Jesus, and represents being buried with Christ and raised to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:4).

At MFV, we want every person being baptized to understand both the significance of baptism and the faith they are publicly declaring. Baptism Class is held on the third Sunday of each month in the Life Center, where we walk through salvation, baptism, and what it means to continue growing as a follower of Christ through prayer, God’s Word, and life in the church. Baptisms are held on the last Sunday of each month during second service. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and celebrate this important step in your walk with Christ.
